Ingredients
- 2 Salmon fillets
Teriyaki Marinade/Glaze:
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar packed
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Little salt
- 1 tsp sriracha sauce or adjust
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 3 tablespoons cold water
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Salmon wash and drain then dab it dry with a paper towel
- In a shallow dish, whisk the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic powder and ground ginger until combined and the sugar dissolved.
- Transfer 1/3 cup of this marinade mixture to a small saucepan (this will be your glaze).
- Remove skin from salmon. Cut salmon into bite-sized pieces (about 1″ squares) then add salmon cubes to the marinade, turning to coat. Marinate salmon 15-20 minutes (not longer than 20 minutes).
- Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F for 3-4 Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray then add salmon fillets in a single layer.
- Air fry salmon 8 minutes or until cooked through.
- NOTE: cooking time will vary with the size of the salmon fillets .
- Remove salmon fillets from the air fryer and drizzle the glaze over the top and air fry for 2-3 min. Serve with rice and your favorite vegetables OR with toothpicks as a light appetizer.
Teriyaki Glaze:
- While the salmon is cooking bring the marinade in the saucepan to a boil then reduce the heat to low.
- In a small bowl whisk the cornstarch and water together then add to the marinade stirring over low heat until it’s combined and thickened. If it’s too thick, another tablespoon of water or to your desired consistency.
Notes
Teriyaki glazed salmon you can do this in the oven, stove top or Air fry. Pair it with some homemade teriyaki noodles/rice to complete your weeknight meal.
